1. Start planning early.

Don’t wait until the last minute to book flights or reserve rooms. The longer you wait, the more likely it is that you’ll be paying more for those same flights and hotels. Especially when it comes to key travel times like summer!

2. Bring WiFi with you.

Whether you’re planning a trip to Japan or traveling domestic, you never know what the internet situation will be like during your trip. With a portable WiFi hotspot, and the TrackR pixel to help you locate it, you’ll always be connected. Internet is especially important if you’re planning to travel light: swap heavy guidebooks for a travel guide app or laptop.

3. Stay healthy, stay hydrated.

We’re all for indulging while on vacation, but it’s important to stay hydrated and to try to make healthy choices when you can. Plan out healthy meals to help you stay on track. If you know you’ll be walking a lot, pack a snack bag with almonds and raisins, so you’re not tempted by convenient, but unhealthy food options. By keeping your water intake up and eating healthy snacks, you’ll have more energy to explore.

4. Double check.

Go over travel dates, times, and names on tickets, and make sure your passport is current. Remember, some countries require at least 6 months of validity. Another good rule of thumb is to scan important documents, such as your passport and ID, and email them to yourself in case you lose something.
