Fall doesn’t have to just mean colder days, back to school and darker nights. One of the greatest things about this time of year is the anticipated arrival of our favorite and sorely missed television shows. The cliffhangers, plot twists and abrupt endings get reopened and aired in a series of premiers over the next few weeks, and here are some the favorites we can’t wait to see. Never seem to be able to find the remote to pause, rewind or change the channel? Use your TrackR so that you never miss a moment of your favorite episodes!

Empire (Fox): After the high-brow series premiere of this music-based family drama, Fox picked up a second season with 18 episodes that will be split into 2 parts. You can get excited to see megastars like Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz and Alicia Keys as guest stars throughout this season, which starts on September 23rd.

Law and Order: SVU (NBC): Arguably the best crime drama on television, this series starts off with an explosive 2 hour premiere. Watch your favorite returning detectives explore the fictionalized account of the Robert Durst case on September 23rd.

Grey's Anatomy/Scandal/How to Get Away With Murder (ABC): This ABC bundle premieres in one, network-termed “TGIT” night, and all three shows strive to connect viewers with the resolve after some serious endings last season. Grey’s Anatomy presents a season without McDreamy; Scandal keeps us wondering who Olivia Pope really chose; and How to Get Away With Murder sheds light on the unexpected murder of last season’s initial suspect, Rebecca. Catch it all on September 24th.

The Simpsons (Fox): The longest running television series is in its 27th season, and we already know that this infamous cartoon begins with quite a plot twist. The premiere episode has Homer and Marge officially separating, due to Homer’s narcolepsy causing a strain on the marriage. He is said to fall in love with his pharmacist, voiced by Lena Dunham. Watch the story unfold beginning on September 27th.

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah (Comedy Central): While many can’t imagine this late night series without Jon Stewart, the trailors have kept the legend mixed into the jokes, highlighting his and new host Trevor Noah’s height difference. Noah is a smooth commentator and is anticipated to be an exciting and funny host, making his debut on September 28th.

Walking Dead (AMC): This season will bring about the impending showdown between Rick and Morgan and promises some intriguing new characters, including one played by Ethan Embry. Ethan is said to play a combo of a few characters that the show has yet to bring to life. He is an Alexandrian, and has been there the whole time, just quite busy. Tune in on October 11th to see the new season’s start.
