September 22nd is Car-Free Day! Save gas, avoid parking qualms and be kind to the environment by ditching the drive and finding an alternative mode of transportation. Better yet - keep up your fitness level after your day is over and continue to enjoy these mobile activities!

Your obvious public transportation options are, of course, viable, but don’t forget about your own physical body and capabilities. Tomorrow is the perfect opportunity to wake up a little earlier and enjoy the remnants of summer on your commute. As always, TrackR will keep your items from going missing, so drop the excuses and pick up one of these fun modes of transportation:

Bike: Whether you are 5 or 50, biking is a great, low-impact hobby that keeps your heart healthy. Cruise along the boardwalk or take to the trails and hills after your smooth ride to work on two wheels. If you know your journey is hilly, make sure your gear shift is working tonight!

Skateboard: Skateboarding is not a crime - it's a mode of transportation. Keep track of your board at all times, stay safe, and keep the car in the garage as you ride in style to the office. Whether it’s your shorter deck or a longboard, these serve as a fun way to make it work and keep cruising after.

Rollerblades: Bring back this beach-friendly vibe and get around in style. Low impact, cool and a great way to get through some distance quickly. Be sure to wear a helmet and don’t forget to pack your shoes to change into!

Walking: Regardless of the distance, walking at all means you're doing more activity than if you were doing nothing at all. A walk around the block or a walk miles up into the mountains is a great way to avoid osteoporosis and keep your metabolism moving. For now, a walk to work will serve multiple, positive purposes.
